To keep you and our teams safe from asbestos exposure, EIG will efficiently test for the dangerous material, follow strict standards and processes, and carry the appropriate abatement removal equipment. Since we are asbestos consultants as well as asbestos inspectors, you can rely on our professional experience for extensive help beyond the inspection process. We will give you our professional explanation of what needs to be done to your property and why, keeping you in the loop every step of the way.

At EIG, we provide our expert assessment of the site in two parts, Phase I and Phase II, to ensure that every detail is accounted for.

Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (EPA) ASTM 1527-13

Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA’s) are conducted to identify recognized environmental conditions and potential environmental hazards associated with the subject property. Phase I ESA’s are designed to meet or exceed the requirements set forth in ASTM Standard Practice E 1527-13 for Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.

In general, the Phase I ESA will include a visual assessment of the site, a review of current and historical uses of the subject property, an on-site reconnaissance of the area, interviews with all knowledgeable parties, and a review of select public records concerning the subject property and adjacent properties that might be beneficial to understanding the building’s susceptibility to any harmful presences.

Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) ASTM E1903-11

Should the Phase I report warrant any additional investigation, Environmental Inspections Group is available to quote and provide Phase II Environmental Site Assessment services. A more extensive report than Phase I, the Phase II assessment requires property sampling and laboratory analysis.

A Phase II ESA is generally a subsurface investigation that can include:

  • Soil Sampling
  • Groundwater monitoring, sampling, and analysis
  • Soil vapor/Sub slab soil gas testing
  • Characterization of hazardous chemicals

Whatever your situation, we can help you find the right solutions for your property. If you think you might have a problem with asbestos in your house or corporate building, don’t wait until things get worse before you call in the experts.
